Ce nouveau robot permet à son propriétaire d prendre son control à distance via le net par exemple. Une webcam embarquée transmet les images grâce à une liaison Wifi, mais il peut aussi transmettre des photos sous forme de MMS.

La conteneurisation, c'est la transposition du principe de la production en série au transport des marchandises générales. (Définition donnée par la Compagnie générale maritime - CGM).

Dans la conjoncture économique des vingt dernières années, il est évident que ce mode d'expédition ne pouvait que se développer. Militent en sa faveur, la régularisation des flux, la rationalisation de la distribution et le contrôle des taux de fret. La conteneurisation permet aussi d'alléger certaines charges, telles que l'emballage et le conditionnement, dans la mesure où la marchandise reste en conteneur de magasin à magasin, c'est-à-dire en éliminant les ruptures de charges. Dans les autres cas, la marchandise devra être emballée de façon classique pour supporter le pré ou post-acheminement. Il conviendra en outre, dans tous les cas, de tenir compte des incompatibilités de poids, de nature, de forme de marchandises chargées dans un même conteneur.


Modes d’expéditions

Il existe quatre modes principaux d'expéditions de conteneurs :

• FCL/FCL
  Le chargeur emporte les marchandises dans le conteneur, scelle ce dernier et le fait livrer directement dans les magasins de l'acheteur.
• LCL/LCL
  Le chargeur dont le volume de marchandises est insuffisant pour remplir un conteneur les fait diriger vers un centre de groupage. Empotées avec d'autres, elles seront acheminées chez l'acheteur après dépotage à destination.
• FCL/LCL
  Le chargeur a plusieurs lots de marchandises pour une même destination. Il les empote dans un conteneur qui sera acheminé sur cette destination où ces lots seront tenus à la disposition des différents réceptionnaires après dégroupage ou livrés à domicile.
• LCL/FCL
  L'acheteur attend des livraisons d'origines diverses. Il demande qu'elles soient empotées en un conteneur qui lui sera ensuite livré.

Dans le mode FCL/FCL, la marchandise ne supportant pas de rupture de charge, le conteneur minimise de façon sensible les risques d'avaries. Dans le deuxième cas d'utilisation (LCL/LCL), les risques d'avaries sont beaucoup plus importants, compte tenu des différentes manipulations auxquelles elle sera soumise.


Normalisation

L'utilisation du conteneur implique l'application de règles précises répondant aux normes de résistance, de dimensions, en vue des transports routiers, ferroviaires et maritimes. L'importance du parc mondial des conteneurs de tous types, a développé la classification du matériel utilisé en fonction de leur usage. Tout conteneur doit donc être conforme aux normes internationales ISO, qui font l'objet d'un contrôle sévère. Chargement de la marchandise dans le conteneur

La mise en conteneur (empotage) peut être effectuée par le chargeur ou par une entreprise spécialisée (groupeur, transitaire, etc.).

Un grand soin doit être apporté à cette opération qui, si elle est mal conduite, peut être à l'origine de dommages à la marchandise, ainsi que d'accidents en cours de transport.

• Avant de commencer les opérations d'empotage, celui qui en a la charge devra examiner avec soin le conteneur mis à sa disposition. En l'acceptant, il est présumé l'avoir reçu dans un état sain et adapté au transport concerné.

• Il établira ensuite un plan de chargement rationnel, afin de réaliser un véritable arrimage (stowing), le bourrage (stuffing) du conteneur n'étant pas de façon générale une méthode convenable de chargement. Ce plan de chargement tiendra compte des contraintes auxquelles est soumis le conteneur en cours de transport, en particulier maritime. Il tiendra compte également de la composition du chargement, certains colis pouvant nécessiter un arrimage et un saisissage particuliers.

Des marchandises de même nature logées en caisses, cartons, sacs… de mêmes dimensions ne soulèveront guère de problème. En revanche, pour des marchandises de natures différentes, il y a lieu de se prémunir contre certaines incompatibilités :

• de poids : ne pas charger des marchandises lourdes au-dessus de marchandises légères ou à proximité immédiate de colis fragiles ;

• de nature : incompatibilité entre produits chimiques, insecticides par exemple, denrées alimentaires, pulvérulents, marchandises craignant la salissure. certains produits (peaux, oignons, poissons) dégagent une odeur ou une humidité auxquelles d'autres seront sensibles ;

• de forme ou de proximité : empêcher la proximité immédiate de la sacherie avec des caisses en bois ou colis présentant des parties en saillie

Il est également important de savoir que le transport de marchandises dangereuses en conteneur en bois est soumis à une réglementation particulière. Aux cas où l'expéditeur n'aurait que des connaissances sommaires sur le chargement en conteneur, il aura intérêt à faire appel aux conseils de spécialistes (services conteneurs des compagnies de navigation, grandes sociétés de transit, etc.).

La pratique des affaires a conduit ces spécialistes à faire la distinction fondamentale suivante :

• les marchandises mises en conteneur au point extrême de départ du voyage assuré, dans les magasins de l'expéditeur, ou livrées au point extrême de départ sans dépotage au cours du transport bénéficient d'un avantage certain dans la mesure où elles sont transportées à bord de navire porte-conteneurs appropriés. Pour de telles marchandises, la conteneurisation a incontestablement diminué les risques à charge des assureurs ;

• par contre, les marchandises de groupage, c'est-à-dire celles qui font l'objet d'une mise en conteneur, puis d'un dépotage en cours de voyage en un lieu de transit intermédiaire (centres de groupage et de dégroupage), continuent à être exposées à des risques importants que la conteneurisation n'a non seulement pas réduits, mais peut-être même aggravés.

Assureurs et assurés doivent savoir tenir compte de cette distinction dans les risques qu'ils couvrent ou font couvrir.

En conclusion, la qualité du transport et par conséquent la bonne arrivée de la marchandise dépendent :

• de l'étendue de la prestation choisie pour le transport en conteneur, qui devra être en rapport avec la nature du chargement et les possibilités de pré et post-acheminement, groupage, dégroupage, etc. ;
• du choix du conteneur, qui devra être adapté aux exigences de la marchandise et du voyage ;
• du contrôle de bon état du conteneur ;
• de la qualité de l'arrimage et du saisissage de la marchandise dans le conteneur.
